Professional Conduct & Ethics Policy

Prudence and Care

Employees have a duty of acting with reasonable care and exercise prudent judgment. They must act for the benefit of the company and their clients and place their interests at heart. When liaising with clients, Employees must make reasonable efforts to ensure that it is fair, accurate, and complete.

Preservation of Confidentiality

Employees must keep information about current, former, and prospective clients confidential unless, the information concerns illegal activities on the part of the client or prospective client, disclosure is required by law, or the client or prospective client permits disclosure of the information.

Loyalty

In matters related to their employment, employee must act for the benefit of their employer and not deprive their employer of the advantage of their skills and abilities, divulge confidential information, or otherwise cause harm to their employer.

Avoiding Conflicts of Interest

Employees are expected to avoid any situation that involves a conflict between their personal interests and interests of the Company. They are not to engage in employment with any customer, supplier or competitor which constitute a conflict of interest.

Prevention of Corruption

Employees must not accept gifts, benefits, compensation, or consideration that competes with, or might reasonably be expected to create a conflict of interest with, their employer’s interest unless they obtain written consent from all parties involved.

Employee are prohibited from allocating, offering, or granting unwarranted advantages in any form, directly or through an intermediary to a private individual or business entity for the purpose of obtaining favorable treatment or influencing the outcome of a negotiation involving Yeo Hong.

No employees may offer or accept any form of payment or remuneration to or from a supplier. Only gifts, invitation or benefits given to or received from a supplier whose sole aim is to strengthen their brand image and maintain good business relationships may be accepted. Their value must be nominal and consistent with customary business practices and must not violate any laws or regulations of Singapore.

The employee warrants that no close family members owns or possesses, directly or indirectly, shares or any other beneficial interest, or is a director, officer or agent of the clients, suppliers and/or competitors of Yeo Hong, except for any ownership, interest or position has been disclosed to Yeo Hong in writing. The employee agrees to notify Yeo Hong promptly and in writing of any developments that would or might affect the accuracy of the warranty. In the event that an employee’s close family member owns or acquires, directly or indirectly beneficial interest in the clients, suppliers and/or competitors, the employee shall take appropriate steps to ensure that the close family member avoids any conflict of interest and prohibits any potential conflict of interest and corruption.

Protection of Information

Employees are responsible for protecting the assets and resources provided to them by Yeo Hong, such as equipment, tools, financial resources or cash. These assets and resources must be used in accordance with their business purpose and within the framework allowed by Yeo Hong. They must not be used for other purpose without the prior consent of Yeo Hong. Each employee is to protect the assets and resources against any deterioration, fraud, loss or theft.
